Suggestions for broken alternator bracket?

I am getting a new alternator for my car (if you do a search on my prior posts, you will see why) and while inspecting the bad one I noticed the top part of the bracket where the upper Torx bolt mounts is cracked all the way through and across under the bolt. The alternator seems fine (besides the fact that it is not charging my car) and wil not budge and the belt is taught still. When I get the new one can I get away with reinstalling it with just the bottom bolt? Will JB Weld hold. Or should I just go get it welded? Remember, its aluminum. Any help appreciated.

JB weld will not hold. I tried JB weld on exhaust tips, and then I had to go back to the parts store and spend another 20 bucks on another tip when 1 flew off.

Remove the bracket and have it welded (or replace it with a recycled bracket).

I would check the local junk yards. Shouldn't be to hard to come by. I think you can even buy the chrome ones and stuff at parts stores. Maybe even the regular one, but I would check the junk yard and pick one up for cheap.
