Adjustable Master Cylinder

For a hydrolic clutch, what does this do? Can you modify the friction point for the clutch? (i.e. less pedal travel to engage the clutch?) or is it something completly different. Does it come w/ the slave cylinder also (usually?) Will it even work with the clutch type in a 93-97 t-56?

Anyone at all? If that isn't adjustable the way I described, is there any kind if modification like that available?
