what would win

question for all of you drag racers out there. my friend has a first gen camaro with a built engine making about 400hp. he is planning to race a honda civic with some sort of vtec engine with a turbo kit, and thats all the info i have on it now, but i was wondering in your opinion which would win. or an estimate on the honda's hp. im thinking no more then 250 at best.

U'm camaro, Vtec and turbo probably runs 14's or high 13's. If the camaro can hook, definitely the winna.

The Camaro should win hands down. First gens had an advantage over all the others, they were lighter.
If your friend has a good set of tires on the rear and keeps from burning them off in the launch, all the honda driver will see is his tail lights.

Yeah the Camaro is all engine. Even if the Honda is equipped with a Turbo kit it will still suffer from Turbo lag. Should be enough time for the Camaro to hook up.

Tell your buddy with the Camaro not to bother burning out or showing off. Just hand the Honda his *** quickly and easily. Showboating is how races are lost and mistakes are made.

I guessing the honda is stick too right? that slows you down even more with a turbo. you need to drive stick real well or all that nice boost you made gets dumped when you shift (most drivers have a real long shift time if you watch) and since the v-tec is rpm specific the f-body should take it with out a problem.

Let us know how it turns out. We are pretty sure of the outcome. I just want to know how it turns out anyway.
