Oil Leak

well i have had this for the life of the engine, the engine has just over 1k on it and the leak seems to be comming from the bust cover on the engine/tranny where the TQ convertor is bolter to the flexplate,

BUT when i was on the dyno saturday it leaked oil ONLY on the passenger side of the engine, SO i was thinking of going to schucks and buying some of the engine, oil stop leak for like 4 bucks and seeing if it will work. what do you all think.

is it the rear main seal, or something on the passenger side of the block?

You may be better off finding a pure seal conditioner. Many engine oils already have seal conditioners, adn reportedly some of the newer "high mileage engine" oils have excess amounts of seal conditioners.

Aside from that, a new seal is the best answer. Of course, it may not even be the seal leaking. The rear oil gallery plugs, distributor gasket, rear intake ledge (China wall), oil pressure sending unit, and rear of the rocker covers can leak and run down the back of the engine, looking much like a main seal leak. You might want to pull the cover and take a closer look.
