I've e-mailed this guy and his quick response was, "Hello, The trans is new, it comes with a speedo adapter, reverse switch, bolts and converted to fit your bell. You will need to shorten your driveshaft. Thanks

I've seen these lower priced conversions at other sites like www.darkhorseperformance.com. They all require that you shorten the driveshaft, but they will bolt right up to the T5 bell housing. How do these conversions differ from Mike Forte's conversion www.fortesparts.com?

If you don't want to shorten your driveshaft, then Mike Forte's kit seems like it's the way to go, but it's a couple hundred bucks more. What is the downside of shortening my aluminum driveshaft?
