Need info on restoring heads and making them shine.

Well if you saw my other post then good for you. They are great heads but they have a little surface rust from sitting for a while. Not enough to damage the metal and its only in a few spots. I called a cyinder head shop and they said you can use a fine stone and some water to clean the rust off. That or bring it into a machine shop. Well I might just bring them into a machine shop to get that done and to get them Magniflexed.

>my question.. is there anything else that I can have the machine shop do and does anyone know what a good price is to do this? dont want to get Jiped here. btw.. just email me if you interested in more info on the drag heads... they will be going on ebay. I'll let you know when if you email me.

Maybe I'm thinking to hard about this. I called some machine shops and they said just just a fine grindstone and water or scotch bright. I think I'll try this. any tips would help alot. ty

Sounds good. I like to use my grinder with either the scotch brite pads either blue or red or the wire brush attachment. Either way it's worth having the heads mangafluxed and surfaced, it costs me $35 a pair and that includes hot tank.

Go get one of those paint stripping wheels that looks like real coarse brown Scotchbrite.
