Hard starting when warm
Hard starting when warm
Hi,
I have an 83 trans am with a 4bbl carb. After I've driven it for a while and then turn it off for about 10 minutes, the car won't start. The thing will keep on cranking but won't start. One time I thought I was going to drain the battery from trying to start it. The only way to get it to start is to put the pedal ALL the way down while its trying to start.
Any ideas?
Thanks

Have you checked the spark when it wont start? Sometimes when ignition module is going bad there is no problem when its cold. But after its hot you can lose spark all together or it is just too weak.
