A few questions
A few questions
Lets start off with this, I have a 91 Firebird 305 5spd.
What tranny and axle am I runnig?
Are they the same as the 350 models?
What gearing do I have and how can I tell if I have a LSD without having to take the diff cover off?
Will an older model(pre91) hood fit on my car?
Is there any way to have the running lights on with out the headlight flipping up?
And do any of you know if the make a conversion like this for the Firebird

Well you don't tell us completely what you've actually got, but from the way you said it, I'm going to assume you have a base-model Firebird 305 TBI with auto trans.
1. 700-R4 and a 10-bolt, probably 2.73 gears
2. Same trans, same axle, same sucky ratio in many cases but not all
3. Easiest way to tell for sure without taking the cover off is to take the cover off. Have you changed the fluid lately? Then you need to take it off anyway. Look at it while you're doing the maintenance that's overdue. That said, you probably don't have posi, I'd say the odds are 95% or better that you have a one-legger.
4 5 & 6. I wouldn't have a clue.

i think your rear gears may be higher because you have a t5 transmission....somethnig like 3.08's or 3.23's.
no, this trans was never put behind the 350 because it cannot hold a lot of torque...
