Noise from top of engine????

Noise from top of engine????
It is a weird rattling noise coming from the top of my engine, but only when I kick it into the passing gear or when the engine is in a bind, but mainly when I kick it into passing gear.....does anybody know what it is? I've been told it might be the lifters..???

Sounds like spark knock. It's not the lifters, or the valves. I have no idea where people got that idea but it just refuses to go away.
Try a better grade of fuel, or backing off your timing slightly.
