HELP- 88' and 87 Supercharger Info

I have a question about the difference in the mounting and all the stuff on the outside of the engine. I have an 87 gta with TPI and i want to get a procharger supercharger for it but they say that its only for 88 and up. I need to know if anyone with an 87 has this unit and if everything bolts up right. Thanks for help

Won't work because it's made for a serpentine system. To use it you'd either have to figure out how to run it off of your v-belts, or switch to a serpentine system. You might want to try the power adder board.

I went to my local salvage yard an picked up both sides of the serpentine system with the alternator, power steering pump, ac pump and all the hardware for $100. It was for my friends 87. It is an easy swap.

I'm not sure, but I think adding the blower will mean you'll have to switch to a MAP system as opposed to a MAF sys.

I was thinking it was because the MAF counts would exceed 255, meaning the MAF could not accurately relay the airflow data to the ECM at high flow rates.

Like I said, I'm not real sure abt it.
Someone on the Power Adder board could probably tell ya for sure either way.
