anyone done a VATS bypass

tried searching, but the search is down. the tech bulletin says to take the two wires going into the plug and wire in a resistor. do they mean put teh wires together and wire one resistor, or put one resistor in each wire?

For those who might be newer, and those with memories as short as mine, I'll remind everyone that it was decided almost two years ago that the technical details of bypasing a VATS system would NOT be discussed or displayed at ThirdGen.org. There are too many attornies out there who would love to get into the action, naming everyone from the guy who melted the brass for the key and the system's designers, and the theif's great-grandparents at fault, to everyone in between for liability if someone's car gets boosted.

Therefore, Message Fora and Private Messaging which is hosted by ThirdGen.org are NOT to be used for technical discussions regarding bypassing the VATS system.

When this decision changes, I'll be glad to say "I'm wrong", but until then, all you have is the dealer, email, and other message boards. Sorry, but it's shutting down.
