Hi Ya'll!! I'm pleased to announce that my wife and I have added another thirdgen to our stable. We purchased a '92 RS 305 TBI with 85,000 original miles last weekend. It has power everything with t-tops and is her signature color----purple. This one replaces the '92 RS V-6 t-tops purple that she bought new and totalled when some *** eating a breakfast biscuit turned in front of her. This one is much nicer than her old one, which was more of a base model, no power windows, no power locks, etc. It pulls pretty strong, and the only thing we had to do to it was fix a small exhaust leak under the passengers compartment. It's really a nice car and we're looking forward to keeping her a long time. After several years of driving a Camry, she just couldn't get the thirdgen fever out of her system. Even better, since she has gotten hers and realized how much fun it is to drive, she's pushing me to spend a little money (cool, huh?) and go through my '83 Z. Life is good..........

 

Cool I love the purple haze metalic paint on a Camaro.Wish i would come across one in good shape.

 

I like the purple A LOT!!! That's why I bought my car.

I just wish the paint liked the car as much as I like the paint. It's leaving little by little. I guess after I get the 'go fast' stuff done I'll get it painted.

Yeah, the purple is a great color. Hers is exactly like yours, same wheels, we even had chrome exhaust tips like yours put on when we had the exhaust leak fixed. You're right, I've seen several of the purple ones that had hoods, tops, and hatches that were chalky-white from paint fade. We'll just cross that bridge when we come to it.
