What lifters to buy..?

Buy the Comp lifters. If you don't care about that, the Comp lifters aren't anything special as far as that goes; just get new ones from wherever. Make sure they're either Elgin, or Sealed Power, or Perfect Circle ones; I don't think there's any othe rdomestic mfrs I would trust. (Comp is using SP these days, last I knew)

They're perfectly good lifters, as far as that goes, probably the exact same ones that Comp supplies (Sealed Power). Just keep the warranty issue in mind... it's a calculated risk. Not a big risk, but not risk-free either.
