idle too low

i just got my car running about an hour ago. the only problem is that it is idling way too low to the point where it sounds like it is going to stall.

more info please.. where exactly is it idling? what kind of mods if any? which engine? are all cyl's firing? hows fuel pressure? if you have good pressure and spark and your running an aftermarket carb like a holly or elderbrok.. yeah i cant spell.. play with the idle adjustment screw.. its regulates the amount of air the carb sucks in at idle.. also you mentioned nothing about timing or what kind of cam you are running.. this occurance may be perfectly normal if you are running something with a lot of lift and duration.. maybe just a be a simple timing problem off by a hair or to... the move info you give the more we can help... tell us everything you know.. specs, what you've done 2 it, whats been done to the car in the past etc.
