with lt1 intake do i still need pcv in valve covers???

with lt1 intake do i still need pcv in valve covers???

in the side of my lt1 intake there is a pcv valve do i still need one im my valve cover? i jus bought new expensive covers and dont wanna dril anymore than i have to i thought of jus drilling for oil fill and thats it thanks guys

a pcv valve and breather combo is a vent system for your engine basically. It sucks air in the breather and out the pcv valve (positive crankcase vacuum). It removes susbtances that are in the air stream inside your engine that could potentially harm internal components ie: blow by gasses, etc. You car will run fine without one but i would highly recommend that for the longjevity of your engine that you seriously consider drilling those holes even if it does make em look a little less pretty. your engine will thank you.

He's not wanting to get rid of it. The LT-1's intake just has the provision for the PCV in the intake instead of the valve cover. You can go either way. If you don't want it in the valve cover just use the intake's provision.

You'll still need the CCV breather tube from the TB to one of the rocker covers. As the Monkey says, the location of the PCV is your call.

no i know better than to get rid of it i jus didnt know if the one in the intake was as effective as one in the covers thanks
im thinking of drilling one hole and use it as my ccv and oil fill later thanks
