I have a 1988 5.0 trans am. The engine light likes to come on and off (more on than off) from time to time. the problem is that when the light is on, the car pulls much harder; it acts as though im stepping on the accelerator slightly. when in drive, the revs are at 1000(only do ot me holing the brake) and when i shift into neutral, they jump to 2500 then slowly drop to 500-700. I havent checked the codes yet because i dont know what each of them mean. If u can help me at all with the problem or a source for where i can find the codes, it would help a lot. thanks
