Racetronix fuel pump users>>>

I'm installing a Racetronix 340M fp w/ Hot wire kit. I have the pump in w/ no problems, my questions are about the wiring.

Was I supposed to get separate instructions for the wiring? If not, I have looked at the pics on the Racetronix website. I see how some of it is wired. But where do you route the wiring from the alternator to the back of the car? Also, I believe that some of the GM wiring is still used, correct? If so, what GM wiring is still used?

Also, the small hose and clamps provided, are those needed? Where do you use them?

For future reference for anyone else installing this kit. I took a further look at the pics on racetronix site. I routed the wiring right w/ the fuel lines from the tank to the alternator.
I didn't cut any wires as it said to do in the Walbro fuel pump instructions. The harness is just plug and play and it becomes apparent what plugs go where.
I also did not use the small hose provided, since I do not think it is needed with our fuel lines.

My Walbro pump came with a small section of hose that was used to replace the "pulsator". Maybe that's what it was for?

Does the pulsator HAVE to be replaced? Is the pump too much for it? The Walbro insructions I have said nothing about replacing the pulsator.

i just put in a walbro and it came with a piece of regular fuel hose that i used to replace the pulsator. the wire that bolts to the alternator is the fuel pump power supply. you use the factory power supply as the wire that switches the new relay on/off

****!!! That is what the hose is for? I never would have imagined. Hell, there's not that much room between the hardline and the pump inlet. Does the pulsator just pull right off the hardline?
I got the tank back in and everything this morning. Anyone actually ever had a problem with the pulsator? If not, I'm not going to bother taking everything apart and starting from ****ing scratch again.

I believe once the fuel pump is upgraded, that narrow diameter "pulsator" is what becomes the restriction. But I could be wrong.

I dug the pump instructions out of the trash today. It says to make sure the pulsator is snug on the pump outlet. The hose is for a different type of setup.

the pulsator is to just try and quiet down the pump, it is a restriction. You should've removed, i'd just run it now until you have a fuel problem. Then i'd remove it if you ever have a problem
