Non-AC Heater Box Question... need a favor... plleeassee

Okay.. here's the deal. I want a Non -AC heater box but i'm not gonna go spending over 100 for one (like the last one i saw on e-bay). So here is what I was wondering... its a long shot i know. If anyone on here has the skills to draw this heater box in Solid Works, or even just draw up an engineering drawing for me, then I could fabricate my own my own. I kinda doubt anyone has one just laying around but... if perhaps someone does AND has the solid works skills to do it, I would greatly appreciate it.

it's a long shot, because they're pretty rare, but check some junk yards.. they should give them up cheaper than $100.

Good luck in a yard. There are very third gens that didn't have AC. My buddy worked for a yard & did a national search for me & after a week, nothing. I fabbed mine up using the RH side of the original fiber glass housing (the side with the blower motor mounting) & redid the LH side with sheet metal. It wasn't hard, just required a good deal of hammering & fitting. I then just pop riveted the thing together, filled & smoothed with Bondo & painted black.

When I lived near San Diego in Vista, I went to the junkyard in Oceanside sometimes; on one occasion that I can remember paying attention to such things, they had about 6 or 8 3rd gen Camaros & Firebirds sitting there, at least 2 of them had heaters only. One of them even still had the POS Pontiac 4-cylinder motor in it (imagine that). If I would have had time that day I'd have snagged them, but oh well....

Well.. for all who care... I broke down and bought one on e-bay for 96 bucks to my door. I'm gonna draw it up on solid works and see what it takes to make one from scratch. If its not too hard then I think I might make a few extra to sell around here to make back my loss. We'll see what happens. Also if anyone wants the solid model let me know.
