What is required for the 90-92 Camaro speedometer/gauges to work??

I want to put a complete 92 Camaro dash into my non-computer controlled 84 Camaro. I have a VSS in my garage that I can put on now, but where do I run the wire to make the dash work? Also, will I have a problem with the other gauges working? Thanks.

i believe the wires from the VSS run to the ECM then to the speedo.

I did that on my '82. The problem is that the computer changes the signal before it gets to the speedo. So if you run (like me) without an ECM then you need to get a box like one from Dakota Digital that can convert the signal instead of the ECM so the speedo reads true. And on top of that it is adjustable for gear chagnes. But the box was like $80 so be prepared. The connectors for the guages are not wired correctly between the two different styles, but you can get them to work. If you have any questions on the swap I can try and help. But I think the biggest ordeal is getting the dash to physically bolt in.

What wire on the dash harness do you have to splice that into then? Also do you have a part number for that box? The only gauge I'm concerned about is fuel level. I have Auto meter gauges for the others. Thanks again.

So then from what brody is saying, the speed sensor must somehow directly tie into the dash without first going through the computer. Anyone know where?? Thanks.
