Funny Engine Noises

hey,
If anyone remembers my last post, it was a while ago, but it was a car not starting probelm, and it was corrosion on the wires that are connected to the battery so i got that fixed. But I have new problems now. About 3 weeks ago, the enging starting grinding when i'd go to start it, sometimes it would sound like it would just spin with out catching....but it would work eventually, now it started making a clicking noise while it was running, last night it got louder and squeakier, and after i turned the car off it wouldnt start again. its not the battery becuase everything still has power, but when i turn the key i just hear a click, and then nothing happens. let me know what you think it could be. thanks.
