for the past month I have been rebuilding my 305 and bought a stage II trans. I got her started today but.......
She idles good but when i give her gas she stumbles but dosent die. I have timing set at 8 degress (my only mod done on the engine was a lt1 cam and she needed to be bored .30 over
I also tried adjusting the tv cable on the trans but when i follow the book's instructions, the cable doesn't ratchet back when the throttle is opened. is the linkage possibly broken or am i doing something wrong? I haven't drove it yet because I want to get this stuff set up right before i do. Anybody?:lala:

That sounds like a timing or fuel issue to me. I would check the timing again and fuel pressure. Also check for any codes or, if you can, hook up a scanner and see what the computer is doing.

You know to disconnect the ESC when you're checking timing on TBI engines, right?
If you're running 8* with the ESC disconnected, that may be too much advance.

BTW, you'll probably get more knowledgeable answers of the TBI board. There are lots of guys that know their stuff there.
