Head swapping questions...
When changing my cylinder heads: IF i change from a 70cc head to a 76cc head, will this effect the compression noticeably? Will it hurt the performance or longevity of the engine?
it will affect compression, but more info would bre required?
What compression is the engine?
Mileage?
and so on.
Ie if you have a 8:1 compression engine going to a slightly bigger head will lower it into the 7's which can cause ill effects and so on.

It will definitely lower the compression.
As to how it will affect the engine's performance, that depends on teh individual heads. If they're 70s smogger 76cc heads like 882s or 624s, then it almost doesn't matter what heads are on there now, those would produce lower performance. If you're taking off factory 307 heads and putting on AFR 190s, the improvement in flow may far outweigh the loss of CR.
Casting numbers and engine size and things like cam specs would help make a more specific prediction.
