need help once again guys
fixed my pulsation damper today and ported the intake out in the proccess.
car has two sets of fuel rails. the first set is on all the time the second set the injectors open up at 3800rpms
well went to hit 3800rpms and the car just FELL FLAT ON IT"S FACE
gave it a second though and tried it again the car did just fine
also wouldn't hold an idle worth a darn either for a while though I think the idle is starting to work it's way back to normal... any ideas guys?
miss a vac line?
gaskets need to setup a little bit?
computer might be "learning"???

I hooked the fuel rail up turned the key on to let the fuel pump push in some fuel.... then let it idle for a moment or two
called it good and took off

Car: for now i have a 79 firebird that had a toasted 301 (imagine that!)
Engine: well i *had* a 301, but there is a pontiac 350 on the stand to get me on the road again and a 428 after that :D
Transmission: th350
well, you did miss a major line at first, it would be logical to think that you perhaps missed another. after all, all those hoses and lines makes it look like a pile of sticks with a peice of metal under it
If you had air compressed into the second bank of fuel rails, you'd get nothing but air out of the injectors until it was expelled. By the time you hit 3,800 the first time, you probably dumped air and starved the primary rails as the pump tried to make up the volume. After the rails had liquid fuel, everything would return to "normal".
Is it now running correctly?

for the most part
almost wondering if I have some vac issue now though
alright on each rotor I have two intake runners...
it's like having a 3bbl carb
the 1 throttle blade runs into two primary runners
and the last two both feed two sets of runners when the throttle is opened up so much
at idle I am getting around 15-17 on the vac for the primary runners
and about 5-6 for the secondary runners
I would figure though that they should be about the same????
oh well
oh yeah on the secondary runners though I did port the section out where the injectors stick into the runner cause it realy was a bad restriction (ie almost cut the area down by 35-65%)
but I would think that would cause it
