I have a 305 (former LU5 engine?) in my 83 Z. Don't know much about this engine other than looks like a rebuild was performed(block painted orange). Car is slow as a dog, so I'm sure nothing special is in there. The car is running a Edelbrock car/performer intake combo. Both of those will need to go at some point in time for emissions. I know there's some nice cams, headers, etc out there for it. But not knowing this engine makes it a little more difficult. Where should I start? Another rebuild or new 305?
