ok i got a 82 camaro with the 2.8 v6, last night i took off myair intake (ram air) system to put on my z28 hood becuase the old system wouldnt fit, i made a home made one, also today i wired my amp up, i just droive it and it stalls everytime i stop or let it idle..also the check engine light is on...whats wrong with my car??

 

isn't the map senser in the plastic duct you removed? what'd you do with it? i'd unhook the amp and see if that fixes it, either the amp is the cause or not, unhooking it will tell.

 

It's more likely the MAT sensor was in there. An easy way to find out what's up is to scan for error codes.

 

map or mat what's the differance? ok vader i guess i was typing faster than i was thinking again. map senswer wouldn't make much sense to put in the plastic duct would it?

 

my mistake guys its a 89...i dunno why i hit the 2..lol i know the MAF senser is still on...there was something pluged in the air box thingy, but my dad said it was a temp senser...i didnt get a chance today to mess with it cause of the rain...im gonna look tomorrow
