Vader, I have a couple questions...
Vader,
Well, let me first say thanks for helping out with my problems with heat and my backfiring. I did the injector test but I forgot to disconnect the IAC connector and I noticed that when I disconnected the #5 injector, my engine idled up (better) but still not perfect like it was. Then I disconnected #7 and the engine didn't do anything at all, it didnt idle down or up, and all the other ones idled down when I disconnected them. Is it important that that wire be disconnected, am I going to get the same readings with the wire disconnected? And I replaced all engine gaskets last winter and ran a compression test while the engine was out and all was perfect. Is there a way I can tell if there is power going to that #7 injector? And last, my code 32 problem, if that egr valve or sylinoid was bad, would the engine light be on all the time because mine only comes on once every couple months? It will come on and I'll shut the car off and restart and the light is off for months at a time then all of the sudden it will pop up and disappear for months again. I also don't notice any difference in engine performance with the light on. And you said to push on the diaphram on the egr valve, well, i can't get my hands under the plenum to do so, and i am afraid of punctureing it with a bent rod or screwdriver, whats the best way to do that? I just wanted to hear your opinion on the engine code problem. thanks again,
Kyle
