Car missing...going nowhere during hard accelleration?

Hi. 92 supercharged LB9 Z28. With stock internals, 7lbs of boost...and MAJOR tire spin...but with the spin, I have been averaging a 0-60 of 5.4.

Put Nitto drag radials on today and went to go test it. Car goes NOWHERE. When I floor it, the RPMS rise and the car starts misfiring. No low end power at all. Getting 6.0 to 60

At first I thought the clutch was slipping, but further investigation let me eliminate that. I'm thinking it may be the plugs or ignition related. Any help appreciated

6 seconds to 60 is going nowhere? That's a scary thought.

Unfortunately a misfire could be several things, so I'd start with the cheapest/easiest to get to/quickest to change jobs.

Maybe the fuel filter is clogged. Maybe the spark plugs are worn. Maybe the leads are shot. Maybe the distributor cap is cracked.

Take your pick, each one is equally likely to be at fault, and each is pretty easy and inexpensive. Good luck, and welcome to the boards!

thanks for the quick response. I was hoping to hit the track this weekend. But I guess I have to fix this first!

heading out now to get fuel filter. Havent changed it in a long time. I have some new plugs here already. HOPEFULLY, this will solve the problem. I never knew the problem was there before, because this is the first time I've floored the car in 1st gear with traction.

Wish me luck.
Thanks

EDIT: I did replace the cap and rotor 2 months ago. So I dont think its that. But I'll check it anyway

Do the simple things 1st like ignition.
Disconnect you charger and see if it still occurs. If not, could be your valve springs.
