NO HEAT!! Help before I freeze to death
Aight heres the deal. I turned on my heat today on my drive from Trenton Nj to Rochester Ny, and low and behold, I had NO HEAT. NONE, not a little bit, not a warm fart nothing. It didn't start to suck till I hit Binghamton Ny and it started to snow and get real cold, and I freakin froze.
Anyone got any ideas with this one?
Everything that I can visually check seems to be fine. The fan blows when you turn it on, when you click over the lever you can hear the baffel in the heater core cover box move. There is enough anti freeze in the thanks, The heater core is a year old and there are no puddles on my floor.
So does anyone have any ideas? I need to get this fixed..I freakin FROZE. And with Rochester weather...who the heck knows if we are gonna get hit again with a cold snap.
Thanks

Is the vacuum hose still connected to the heater control valve? Just a guess since I deleted my heater. THose hoses are ugly!!
Could be a lot of things. You could simply have a bubble in your coolant lines. But that's unlikely if it has worked since the last time you changed the fluid or anything. You could have a clog in your heater core. If you had a bunch of crud in yor radiator break loose or in a hose or something, and it went down to your heater core, no heat! Squeeze your heater hoses and see if they are warm. But first, I'd check to make sure you have all your vacum lines hooked up. The one I can think of in particular is on the passenger side right above the top of the valve cover on the hoses there. It's easy to accidentally disconnect. It's plugged into this black plastic piece and it has three hoses coming out of it. That's the way it is on my car anyways. I don't know that you would lose heat because of that though! Might check! Never know! Matt
