What else is attached to the gauge fuse?

I've been having the odd problem of intermittently blowing the fuse for my gauges, so I lose everything but my speedo (thank goodness I have an 86) and the panel stays illuminated. Usually happens when the headlights are on. Now I know besides the gauges themselves, the rear defroster is hooked up to that fuse (or at least the switch). The oil pressure and coolant temp gauges aren't actually connected to anything and the voltmeter quit working two years ago. What else may be hooked up to that fuse that I could trouble shoot? And why would it be when the headlights are on?

Gilmour,

Almost every ECM load relay primary side is powered from the GAGE fuse. The Tachometer, BRAKE and CHECK ENGINE warning lamps, the oil pressure and coolant temperature gauges, gauge illumination, warning buzzer/chime, cruise control, and relays for the AC compressor, defogger, MAF burn off, EGR solenoid, A.I.R. port and divert solenoids, EVAP purge solenoid, VSS, and brake pedal switch for ECM input are all powered from the GAGE fuse.

All off a 10amp fuse? Like I said I have illumination of the dash, still. One thing I did forget, when the headlights are on, the dash goes ding ding ding ding incessantly.

Yes Vader is right they are all using that one fuse. I think the tail lights are actually using this fuse too. I remember I blew a fuse because of a short behind my gauges, and my brake lights worked, but my regular tail lights did not. When I replaced the fuse they worked fine.

I just ran outside and checked. My tail lights still work... I have an 86, and the illumination and gauges are two seperate fuses. I can pull another fuse and turn off the dash lights.

It was originally an LG4, but the computer's not even hooked up anymore (hasn't been since 2000). The only original gauges that work(ed) are the fuel, tach, and speedo. Only speedo works now, cuz it's cable driven.

Also... All that stuff that Vader listed seems to be a lot for a 10 amp fuse. It's the one all the way to the left. The fuse that kills all the lights is one down and to the right of it.
