Bad fuel filter right out of the box?
Hey guys, Maybe someone can help me figure this out: I just finished replacing my in tank fuel pump and started engine up - ran fine. Then I remembered to install the new fuel filter, but now it only tries to start and dies as soon as I stop cranking it.
Has anyone had a brand new fuel filter that wouldn't pass fuel? It's a Fram filter, the correct part for the car, and nothing seemed out of the ordinary when I installed it. Any ideas? Thanks in advance:hail:

Vader, Yes - the pump does run for two seconds when I turn the key on, so I don't think it's the pump. Oh yeah, I did also notice that at the same time as I installed the filter , the fuel tank no longer releases pressure when I loosen the cap.
383 rocket bird, Yeah I think I'm just going to get a new filter (NOT Fram) tomorrow and try that. Just seems like too much changed after the new filter went in.
