I just bought an 84 Camaro yesterday under the impression it was a base model with an LQ8 V8... turns out my VIN says I have an L69 engine... does that mean it's a Z-28, or was the L69 an option in the 84 Sport Coupe? My car has plain "Camaro" badges. Thanks.

The 305 H.O. only came in Z28's.

So, unless my VIN is lieing to me, I'm actually the proud new owner of an '84 Z-28?

I guess the paint job could have been re-done at one point, and new badges put on.
