my car has been sitting for 6 months
hey every oen i had a ? my car has been sittign for 6 months and is now winterized i wanted to start it up because i herd some ware that it is good to start the engine up every now and then. is this true or shoud i leave it till spring?
if i do go to start it is there anything special that i should do before i start it so i dont ruin the engine other then make shure all the fluids are topped off?

THe best thing you could do for it before starting after a while is put in new oil and then prime the engine for a few minutes to get some oil up where it has not been for a while. Pull the distributor and you can use a 1/2 or 3/8 electric drill with a oil pump priming tool. Basically, the same way you would do it if the engine was brand new. If you are only going to start it because you think you should, you may just want to wait until spring. I assume you store your car for winter. Do you go through a storage procedure? If not you should start.

yeah its all winterized
yes i do its all winterized right now . moth ***** batterie is out of it thats all i know of and all the fluids are topped off.
