what is making this loud noise?????

there is this loud noise coming from the lower left side of the engine, not sure if it is the engine or not, im not losing power, rpm guages stays where its suppose to be, by meaning it does not flucuate, can it b the transmission mount? cause i recently took out the tranny, by the way the tranny right now is only help by two nuts , cause the guy lost the other one, and said it'd do, but what could it be? please help fast, thanks

Could be the exhaust. If there is a leak at the collector or something a loud "popping/ticking" noise will result. Check to see if any exhaust is leaking any where. Check and see if the popping grows louder/more freguent when the engine is revved. The noise should be more noticeably at lower engine speeds.

yea i was thinking it could be exhaust too, you dont notice it when you rev it, just barely, it stayed the same pace when reved too, thats why i dont think its in the block? i hope not anyways, im thinking its either my transmission mount or exhaust, I HOPE
