flowbench data

flowbench data

i was wondering if anyone had any flowbench data from a apir of vortec heads. i flow benched my old 2.02 camel hump heads casting #461 and heres the averages

int: .100"-67.375 cfm exh: .100"-48.75 cfm
.200"-120.25 cfm .200"-97.125 cfm
.300"-162.125 cfm .300"-119.625 cfm
.400"-192.375 cfm .400"-130.75 cfm
.500"-203 cfm .500"-137.25 cfm
.600"-207.125 cfm .600"-141.5 cfm

What I can find on the Vortec castings is from CHP:

OOPS! I clipped off the valve lifts from the chart.

The first line is 0.050",then 0.100", 0.200", 0.300", 0.400", 0.500", then 0.600". Sorry about that. I couldn't find the actual specification in the article, but they used a SuperFlow bench to test a bunch of heads at once, and the common PD is 28" WC.

wow i had heard that vortecs flow every bit as well as ported camel humps, but i didnt think that they would blow the camel humps out of the water. i guess my first upgrade will probably be vortecs or fast burns
