Temp gauge not working...

I am pretty sure that this is related to my car not starting prolem that just got resolved. (SEE the recent post about changing my oil/car not starting)

Well my temp gauge will not move up at all, it just sits below 100 degrees. I noticed after changing the plugs/wires that a connector by the AC pump is hanging not connected to anything, is this the temp guage hookup?? It is a single green wire coming from a big set of wires from the fire wall, it then splits right by the AC pump. Where does this hook into? Is this related to the temp gauge? If not what steps do I take to determine how to fix my temp gauge? Thanks....

Ya, that is the temp gauge wire.
There is a sensor in the drivers side head that that wire plugs into.

I'll see if I have a picture of how it looks for you.

Found one,
See the sensor between the #1 and #3 header, that is the coolant temp sender for the gauge.
