Few Basic Questions
Well im loking to buy a pair or GM Vortecs for my camaro. I was wondering will this work well with a 600cfm edelbrock and performer intake. I dont know that cam though :-((wsh i could find that out). My question is will this setup work and do u think i will see a significant gain(it has heads off of a 350 truck w/ no work done to them). I was thining of goin with the cast iron heads. But is there a big diff. in performance with the aluminum ones. Thanks for the help

You will see a vast improvement with the Vortecs, but in stock form you will really be limiting the performance. The springs that come on those Truck heads should not be run with more then .460" of lift. If you want Vortecs i would look at the Top Proline heads, either Vortec or Pro Lightnings. They are already setup for performance and solve all of the problems of stock heads.
Well i was looking to buy the vortecs off of jegs( i beleive that there 250 each). What do u mean i would be limiting my perofrmance? sorry if i sound dumb im really knew to this. P.s. how much u think a machine shop would charge for port and polishing. And was exactly is milling heads?(another prob. idiot question). But hey guys i have learned alot since being on this site!
