what happened ?
I just got my car running yesterday after a cam swap and all of the other stuff that goes with it. I planned on adjusting the valves but it was just about impossible to hear them tapping because of the open headers. I let it run for about 20 minutes and shut it down and restarted it a couple of times, it ran great and started right back up. I was going to pull it out of the garage so I shut it off while I moved my brother's car out of the way. When I tried to restart it, it wouldnt start. What happened, it was running great, I had to go to work so I could'nt mess with it anymore yesterday, but I guess I will see what happens today, I just dont know why it didnt fire right back up.

What happens when you try to start it? Does the engine turn over at all or does it just click?
since you never really described your problem other than it won't start i'll guess it tries to start but doesn't. i'd check for bent push rods, trashed cam lobe and or lifter, and the valves, but valve adjustment doesn't seem likely since it fired and ran.

It just cranks and wont start, what would cause a bent pushrod or worse, cam lobe or lifter? The pushrods are new, new 1.5 roller tip rockers, new springs, new timing chain and gears, new injectors etc.. Like I said, it was running fine before I turned it off, I even restarted it after I turned it off and it fired right back up. The car is at my brother's house about 2 minutes away so I havent tried today yet but I am heading over ther now. I sure hope it is nothing serious since it is a TPI and not real easy just to ****** the intake off!
Maybe the lifters pumped back up and are holding valves open. It's real easy to adjust the valves with the engine off. If you don't know how post and I or someone can tell you how to do it.
Tight valves cause bent pushrods a lot.

I think the car was running way too rich and fouled out the plugs, I pulled one out and it was all black. The new injectors are 24# SVO's and when I had it running I didnt adjust the fuel pressure down and when I checked it today with the vaccum pulled off it went up to around 50. It started up today but when it got hot it didnt want to start back up. I may just get some shorty plugs since I have to take these out anyway.
