stuck odometer

I have an '89 Trans Am GTA with a 350 in it.

The odometer is stuck at 73,000 miles, and I know this isn't even close to the actual mileage. This is because I have shop receipts from '98 that report, you guessed it, 73,000 miles on the clock.

The previous owner said that the odometer worked fine before the engine swap, but that doesn't really make sense because it is an electronic odometer, not cable driven. I think it is run through the ECM?

The speedometer works perfectly, as do all the other guages. I have the 140mph speedo/8000rpm tach.

Anyway, is there any way to fix this, or would I have to buy a whole new guage cluster? Again, any help is apreciated.
