Turn over engine by hand?
I have an 83 Z28, LG4. It hasn't been started for about 4 years. My plan is to remove all the spark plugs (no compression) and spray some "oil fog" into each spark plug holes and then turn over the engine by hand. Can I do this by putting a socket wrench on the front of the drive shaft (Harmonic Balancer?)? Thought this would get everything freed up.
thanks,

That should work, just make sure that the belts are off so it'll be easier to spin. I have a 396 big block that I turned by hand with a wrench on the harmonic balancer. If you can get the oil pan off, it probably wouldn't hurt to spray some stuff (WD40, maybe?) up inside the bearings if it won't budge. I had to do that on the 396.
if it's stuck or there is much resistance using a socket on the crank is a good way to break the crank bolt, if it turns easy then no problem. you might want to consider a flywheel turning tool, less chance of breaking the crank bolt.
