any ideas on this?

ok my car has never had any major problems but 2 days ago i was driving it around more then usual and i noticed that the engine was shaking and and sounding really bad, so i turned back home and oh a turn my friend said he heard a pop and my shut off and we just kept rolling i tried starting it back up but it wouldnt at all so we had to steer it in a neighborbood. when we stopped i wanted to start it back up so i did and it seemed to run really loppy its hard to explain and after awhile it would die. so i tried it again and i pushed the gas pedal in and it died. and now when i tried to start it it will stay on for a second and then die. and if i touch the pedal it wont even start it just cranks. i really have no idea what it is please help.

Sounds like what happened when my ignition module died. Check all the wiring in the area too, something loose can cause bucking and stalling.

this might be to simple, but make sure your getting gas you may have a clogged fuel filter, bad fuel pump, something may be off with your carb, if all else fails, pull a plug and see how it looks, go from there
