Installing Hood Insulation, need help..

This is my first time installing hood insulation and I was wondering if you could use the old tabs to hold in the new insulation or if you had to order new ones. Is it hard to install new hood insulation? Any thing that I should do or look for before I start?

You probably ought to get new ones.

They probably have some that would work at Auto Zone, on the little lazy-susan rack where the miscellaneous body hardware is.

I dont know why you would want to replace it... just take it all out and leave it be...helps ALOT with circulating cooler air into the engine compartment!

i don't think it will hurt the paint unless you have a turbo right next to the hood. it dosn't get very hot under there, i took mine out and if you put your hand on it after a long drive it is only warm. on a black or dark car the sun beating down on it will probably get it much hoter than the engine ever will. if it dosn't bubble the paint right next to the headers on the fenders it probably wont hurt the hood.
