Max lift the stock heads can take

I have a 77 350 that is going into a camaro and im going to put a cam it it. I want to put in the edelbrock rpm cam ( 488, 510 lift ).
Is that cam going to be to much for the heads and how do u think that cam would be with the rpm intake ,600cfm carb, 8.5 compression and headers.

.45 to .46 is pretty much the max the stock springs can take, if even that much. .46 to .475 is about the limit for pull out studs.

What is the head casting number you are woking with?

Iam not to sure what the head casting is yet because i havent been able to get the motor home yet.

Sorry about the other thread i didnt think i sent that one. But all i have to do to be able to use a higher lift cam is to get new springs and the other stuff that go with it.
