I went and picked my car up yesterday and it had a nasty vacuum leak in the brake booster. now the engine is a WHOLE hell of alot more responsive. He told me that my computer was shot or something because it wont you pull codes, sometimes it will. When i put the paper clip in between the A&B terminal the fan will turn and flash codes like normal but then about 2 seconds later the fan will quit and the SES light will quit flashing, and it acts like the paperclip isn't even in there. There was a time or two where i didnt shut off and i was able to pull a code 34 and 36. The car runs ALOT stronger than it did before but it is still VERY sluggish at low rpm's. here are the symptoms i am having....

Misses at idle(not too bad but noticable)

When you turn the steering wheel it drops the idle down alot.

When you put it in gear it will want to stall imediatley but does ok if if press on the gas to keep it running.

When i take off from a stop sign or something it is like there is only one mode, it doesn't matter how far you mash the pedal down it will just barley get up and move and then about 2500, then thats when WOT, and all the power, kick in. Is what i want to know is why there is NO difference in engine power when i push the throttle say half way and all the way down....is it TPS?

If you can figure out my problem with my computer or figure out my problem with my car with the symptoms listed above please reply, i am eager to get the "Blue Beast" on the road....

Oops..Sry..Its a 1986 Camaro Z28 305 TPI Auto Tranny

 

My '86 305TPI Iroc did the same things, and I had the ecm replaced.

Fixed the problem for me.
