Vacuum Diagram

The emission hose routing diagram is missing from my car and I have found that most of the vacuum lines themselves are also missing or not connected. ( I wondered why it would hardly run )

Could someone please post a picture of the correct emission hose diagram for a 1984 LG4.

Thanks,
George

Here's one that should be close enough to get you by.

EFE stands for "Early Fuel Evaporation." There is a valve at the outlet of the passenger side exhaust manifold that closes when the engine is cold, which sends exhaust through a passage under the intake manifold. This warms it up so fuel doesn't pool in the intake manifold. When the engine warms up, the valve opens and allows normal exhaust operation.

It shouldn't hurt anything to remove the valve, but if you don't know what exactly it is that you are dealing with (like me), it may be best to leave it alone if it is working fine.

Props to five7kid for information on EFE.

only 7 months to late, not bad. you must be reading through old posts, when these boards were worth a damn. i havent posted here for so long, and out of the blue an email shows up in my inbox.

if you are new to thridgens, my advice is to read through as many of the older posts as possible to gain a good understanding about thirdgens. however, the new posts are ususally someone askinga question followed by days of flaming and telling the person to search.
