Help! Oil pan plug?
Help! Oil pan plug?
Guys--
Just swapped out my 305 for a 350, and am ready to prelube....but there's a big threaded hole in the drivers side of the oilpan, just above the drain plug. Is this for an oil temp sensor? Anyone now what the thread is on this hole so I can get a plug? This is the only thing standing between me and my new engine running, HELP!
(by the way, its a 87 and newer 350 for TPI from GoAutoCenter... supposed to be a direct replacement for the f-body, except for this one thing apparently)
Thanks

i'm not too sure, but more than likely it's the low oil level sensor. go to the autoparts store and get one for a..... hell from an LT1(since they have one). then get the thread size from that sensor and get the appropriate pipe plug.
