starter for 89 Iroc

I'm in need of a starter but does anyone know if the 89 Iroc w/350 tpi has to have a starter with a solenoid or not. I did a search but no results on weather I need one with or without

All GM 1108- and 1109 series starters have a solenoid mounted to the outside of the staring motor.

it will have the solenoid mounted on it. i don't recomend replacing it just with a standard replacement though, picking up one for a vortec v8 L30 or L31 is the better way to go (gear reducted style).
