How can you tell if the roller rocker is self aligning or not?
I just bought a new set of 1.6 ROLLER rockers from Ebay and is there a way that you can tell if the rockers are self aligning or not?
The seller said that they are but i want to be sure that they are. T
Thank you.

Here are the pics. These are the pics from Ebay and the actual package will be arriving very soon.
Can you tell if they have the rail?
Thanks

Can't really tell.
What you're looking for is a sort of "rail" on either side of the roller. It would look almost like washers in between the ends of the roller and the stamped sheet metal.
Down at the bottom right of the page in this link is a pic of a decent one; this one is a real performance rocker unlike those sheet-metal ones, but the principle is the same.

It's really hard to tell, becaue in those pics, you can't tell if the part of the sheet metal that appears to be below the roller, is anywhere near the tip.
Did you look at that Comp page, and see what you're looking for?

More pics guys.
The seller is positive that they are SA. he did not have the part# because he got rid of the package. He said he got them from Summit.
I checked their site and came across this pic for SA w/o a roller tip.

Clearly not self-aligning.
Did you look at the pic on Comp's site, and notice the little rails that the one there has? Granted that's a far higher quality rocker than those stamped ones; but the principle is the same. SA roller-tip rockers have little rails on either end of the roller, to keep the rocker centered on the valve stem; I see nothing of the kind in your pics.
If I had a dollar for every time I'd heard "The seller says..." about something, I'd be a very wealthy man. But as it is I'm just skeptical now.
