Hey all I just finished the Paint on my 89 IROC Convert. I have also swaped in a 4th gen rear. Do you guys know how much my speedo will be off swapping from 2:73 to 3:23.

The car will be going 84.5% as fast as the speedometer says.

 

So if I am going 60 MPH then the speedo will read 51mph?

I guess........if that's what 84.5% of 60 is. If it says you're going 100 you'll be going 84.5. As for correcting the error, there are a near infinite number of posts on it. Someone even posted a program once to figure it out. If you can't find it I can try to email it or something.

 

er......no......i read that wrong....if your speedo reads 60 then you'll be going 51. the engine will be spinning faster and the speedo gears (one in the tranny and the other on the driveshaft) will think the car is moving faster than it is.
