Help me identify these connecting rods.

My shortblock supposedly has Childs & Albert forged rods and I'm having a hard time verifying this. They say "B590" on them and across the beam say "5.7 XMT" I can't find any matching rods anywhere I look.

Anyone ever seen these before? What the heck are they?

Thanks,
Chris

Also by the "XMT" they have a weird little symbol thats kinda hard to see in the picture. I've never seen anything like it before.

near as i can tell looking at my catalog all c&a rods have the logo on the rod, xmt doesn't appear in any part numbers or look like it matches a name or series of rods they sell, but what i found doesn't really prove they are, or aren't

This seems to have everyone pretty clueless. Nobody I've shown these rods to can identify them. I'm going to try to find the number to C&A and give them a call maybe they'll know.....

Clueless? Hey! I resemble that remark!

I can tell you what they aren't. The aren't Lunati, nor Howards, but there are so many rod vendors out there, and so many imported rods, it's going to be fun. All I can see is the "5.7 XMT" marking. Anything on the caps? Opposite side?

If you get really stumped, you can call a wholesaler like Competition Products, who deals with a lot of different brands. 1-800-233-0199
