9 Bolt questions

Hey guys. I just bought a 9 bolt rear end with 3.27 gears, 12 inch rotors and aluminum calipers, to replace my aging 10 bolt. When you guys have some time, could you let me know how your 9 bolt's are holding up, how you like 'em, what you've done to improve them, and anything else you might want to share. I'm just looking for info, and as far as i'm concerned, this is the best place to get it. Oh yeah, i picked this rear end up from the guys at http://www.rareautodesign.com/ and without advertising for them, i will honestly say that they are a great bunch of people, and deserve some of our business. If you want to customize a third gen, atleast check them out. Thanks guys.

Axle/Gears: Ford 9"/31 spline spool/4.86
The 9 bolt is a good deal if you can find them however there is little to no available parts for them. The lowest gear ratio available is 3.70. As for strength, they have a 7.75" ring gear instead of the 7.5/7.625" ring gear found in the 10 bolt. They have 28 spline axles. 82-87 10 bolts have 26 spline. They have 4 pinion (spider) gears instead of 2 like in the 10 bolt. All in all they are a stronger, better diff as long as you don't break it. As for strength, My 3.27 gear 9 bolt posi is holding up to 1.6xx second 60 foots and high 11, low 12 second quarter mile passes with no problems yet.
